However technology may help thanks to systems which enable to better preserve our cultural heritage through constant automated monitoring which allows to preserve its beauty and at the same time make fruibility much safer and simpler.
Sensors which monitor the conditions of a building and are able to detect any critical issues in terms of stability in a country with a high risk of earthquakes like Italy or, furthermore an automated system which is able to collect and process big data giving information about an asset or work of art are but some of the many ways to improve fruibility and better preserve our heritage: data concerning the microclimate of the hosting environment, the number of visitors, conditions in case the work needs to be moved, indicators concerning necessary restoration or any preserving measures etc.
